Spanning and splitting paragraphs
- [Instructor] We looked at how to split text frames into multiple columns in an earlier chapter. For example, let's select this text frame, head up to the Object menu, choose Text Frame Options, and then increase the number of columns to 2. When I click OK, you can see, great, we've got two columns, but these paragraphs up here are supposed to span across both of those columns. So, how are we going to do that? Well, we could cut those paragraphs out and put them into a different text frame, one that's only a single column wide, but there's a much easier way to do this. I'm going to double-click to switch the Type Tool, and then select those paragraphs. Now, up here in the Control Panel, I'm looking for a feature called Span Columns. I don't see it right now because my screen is not wide enough, but on your screen you might see it. On the other hand, if not, you can still get that feature by opening the Control Panel fly-out menu, and coming down here to choose Span Columns. Inside…
