Saving documents and the History panel
- [Narrator] Whenever you have a new document open or you're editing an already existing file, you should remember to save it to disk. For example, I'm going to move this text frame over here. Now, whenever you make a change to a document, InDesign adds a small asterisk in the document tab up here, right next to the document name. Let's go ahead and save this file. I'll go to the file menu and you can see that I have several options. Save, save as, and save a copy. So, let me talk for a moment about what the differences are between these three. Save and save as are pretty obvious, they work much the same as any other software, but save as does have a couple of features that you should watch for. The first time you try this, InDesign will tell you all about saving documents in the cloud. I'll talk about that in just a moment. For now, I'm going to click save on your computer. I'm going to save this up on my desktop and I'm going to change the name. For example, I'll put an underscore…
