Highlighting paragraphs with boxes
- [Instructor] You can see these shaded areas that call out some paragraphs around the page. How do we create that kind of paragraph border or shading effect? Well, let's start by using the Type tool and then selecting these two paragraphs over here. Remember, you don't have to select the entire paragraph for this to work. Now, I'll zoom into 200% by pressing Command or Control + 2. To apply paragraph shading, I can go up to the control panel, make sure I'm in paragraph formatting mode, and then click on the Shading checkbox. You can also select a color from this popup menu over here, but you don't have that many controls. So instead, let's hold on the Option or Alt key and click on this little icon next to the menu. That opens the Paragraph Borders and Shadings dialog box. Now, technically this is two different features in one, shading and border. I'm going to focus on shading first and then I'll show you borders. First, you need to make sure that the shading checkbox is turned on…
