- [Instructor] When you import an image into an empty frame, it often doesn't appear at the correct size on your page. For example, let's go up to the Layout menu and choose Next Spread. I'm going to put an image into this frame down here. So I'll select it and then press cmd or ctrl + d to open the Place dialogue box. Let's choose this third one here and I'll click Open. Now, because I know what the image is supposed to look like, I can tell that InDesign is not showing the whole thing. I need to figure out how to shrink the picture to fit inside this frame. It's important to remember that the frame is not the same thing as the image. They're two separate things, one inside the other. You can select the image inside the frame in a couple different ways. You could double-click on the image, or just click once on this little donut shaped thing in the middle. Now, we've selected the image inside the frame.
