- [Instructor] In this movie, we're going to be talking about g code editors. Now I've been using the solid works plug in, which is called HSM Express, for generating all of my cam code, or my g code for this course. Now I just recently released a course on solid works with HSMXpress on the library, so I you'd like learn how to use that software a little bit more, definitely check out that course. Now this is the editor that comes with HSMXpress, it's called HSM Edit. Generally, this will also come with the other packages that are part of the auto desk family of products. Now this is a pretty good editor, and they give you a whole bunch of extra NC functions up here at the top of the screen. I can do then file compare, I can do different edits or search for a tool change and so on. I can even transmit this file using this software. So it's a pretty great software specifically tailored for editing g code files. Now keep in mind though that a g code file is really only a plain text…
