For a good chunk of my high school years, and then my first semester of college, I fully intended to go to the Olympics and wanted to be an Olympic heptathlete. Well, I had this thing called a kid and that plan got interrupted. However, I still rarely miss a Summer Olympics. One of the events that I watch the closest, is the 4 by 100 meter relay race, and I usually do not watch the heats. I usually watch the finals or the semi-finals. And I'm sure most are familiar with the concept of that race is once around the track, four runners and a baton. We're going to talk about the baton. That's the point of this moment. There's always one factor that defies the logic of having the perfect team, the passing of the baton. Nine times out of ten, no matter how great a team is, if they don't pass the baton, they lose.
