- [Narrator] Okay, let's make this little pivot table here more interesting and start adding more fields to it. What I'm really interested in knowing is how much of this money was spent by each person, and I can do that with row fields. So I'm going to head over here to the fields list, and I'm going to drag the buyer field down to the rows area. There, that's great. The pivot table now has this row field and it's dividing up the value field. And now it can see how much was spent by each person. But let's just take a moment and look at this user interface down here. Sometimes people get a little stumped as to where they should put fields. Well just remember that since the row fields are to the left of the value field down here, so too is the row field to the left of the value field here in the actual pivot table. Something to keep in mind, this positioning here of rows to the left of values is mimicked by the pivot table.…
