- [Instructor] If you're using Excel for Microsoft 365, mapping geospatial data with map charts can be quite simple to build and an effective presentation tool. So let's take a look at an example of how you might use map charts. So here we have a list of countries and the customers in those countries, and I'd like to create a visual of that information. So if I were to just do a simple column, that's fine, but a map chart I think would be far more interesting if you go to recommended charts. And it may take a little bit of time, but eventually a map chart will pop up and that will show the locations of the region. And that is nice, but I can add just a little bit more to that. We want to work out the population in each country so that we can calculate the market penetration. And a really easy way to do that is to use data types. So if I convert my country to geography, I will then be able to pick up all sorts of information about that location. So I can pick up population. And then I…
