- I gather references all the time as I storyboard. And anything I can find that'll help me draw faster and more accurately is fantastic. And there is no such thing as cheating. Just creating storyboard images as fast and as accurately as possible. And obviously, I'm going to be asking my client to send me whatever imagery they can. So they could send me JPEG images, or a lot of times, they might have a Dropbox folder that I go to and download whatever I need. You're going to make sure that you store all of your reference images together so you can find them again very quickly and if you use Storyboard Pro, you can just access that folder as a library all within the software and just drag it in. Now, some of the reference material you may get, you could be sent a video. You could be capturing your own images or they could send you a PDF, which could cause some problems.
