GRESB
- We can't talk about ESG and buildings without discussing GRESB, the Global Real Estate and Infrastructure Specific ESG Assessment Benchmark. This framework evaluates the environmental, social, and governance performance of real estate portfolios and provides validated ESG performance scores and peer-to-peer comparisons. It is commonly used by real estate owners and funds to measure and showcase their ESG performance based on self-reported and GRESB-verified data. Real estate investors subscribe to this framework to evaluate and compare their investments using consistent and relevant data and scores. GRESB Real Estate Assessment measures ESG performance in two categories, One, Management and Policy, which examines the organization's ESG policies, management systems, stakeholder engagement practices, and corporate governance, and two, Performance Indicators that evaluate the actual environmental and social performance data of real estate assets.
