- [Instructor] It's nice to know where you are and what's around you, and having a map can help you find your place in real space, but a similar thing can happen with the data. Finding the patterns across geographical patterns can also lead you to great insights. One of the best ways to do this with data, in a very simple way, is what's called a choropleth map now. Choropleth comes from two Greek words, Choros which means area or region, and plethos, which means multitudes. So it means showing multitudes by areas. It's showing a quantitative value. How much of something by a region. And so for instance, here's one that I made in Google Sheets. And personally, I find these maps are a little easier to make in Google Sheets than they are in Excel, but there are a lot of other options as well. But this is a choropleth map of searches across the U.S. in the year 2020 for the term, Yoga Studio. And what you see here is that the lighter colors indicate fewer searches relatively speaking, and…
