- You may think that you have the coolest network on the block. You could have the most updated switches, most high-end routers and all these cool servers and such. But guess what? Your network is nothing if it is not secure. So in this episode, we're going to cover how data should be protected using the CIA model, as well as various other types of the ways the bad guys can attack your network. Now, organizations, as you know, have a lot of assets. I mean, they have physical hardware, data, personnel, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera, and all these facets of the network must be protected. So this introduces the concept of CIA, and I'm not talking about the government agency; I'm talking about confidentiality, integrity, and availability, and this manifests itself in a triangle because they all depend on each other.
