- [Narrator] Let's take a look at what you need to know about using Illustrator Workspaces for the ACA Exam. The Workspace Menu is at the top of the document window here in the application bar. Here you can choose from the default workspaces that come with Illustrator, or add your own. Then you can do the same thing from the window menu. Right now I'm using the Essentials Workspace which offers a very streamlined interface and just a few panels and tools. But if I choose Essentials Classic, I get several more panels at my disposal, and an expanded set of tools in the toolbar. Or I can choose a Workspace like Painting, and I get panels like Color, Swatches, Color Guide, and Brushes, or the Typography Workspace, where I get several panels for working with text. I'll go back to Essentials Classic. Notice that all the panels are docked together in groups on the right side of my screen. Some of the panels here are fully visible, while others are collapsed down to icons. I can drag panels…
