Overview of Geometry Nodes in Blender
- [Instructor] Welcome to the chapter on geometry nodes. Introduced in Blender 3.0 and further refined in the Blender four series, geometry nodes is a hot topic and a big area of innovation for Blender. For those of you familiar with Houdini, this will come naturally, and if you've never messed with any nodes before, don't worry. I'm here to help. Simply put, geometry nodes allow you to create amazing 3D geometry or effects just by dragging a few nodes together. At the beginning of this chapter, we'll take a look at some sample demo projects. This is an awesome place to get inspired by the latest and greatest from Blender artists around the world. Then we'll go ahead and create our own geometry node setup. We'll create a trench run for our star fighter and even learn how we can use geometry nodes to create visual effects or turn them into a tool so we can use later on in other projects. There's a lot to cover, so…
