Advanced Shader Editor workflow
- [Instructor] Now that you're familiar with how nodes work inside of Blender, I want to talk a little bit more about some advanced workflows using the Shader editor and materials. First, I went ahead and made our moon a lot cheesier so let me show you what I did. The very first thing is I made sure that our mapping, Voronoi, and color were all feeding into creating a really nice looking principled BSDF. I also ultimately did turn on subsurface a little bit, and I even piped in this color ramp into a subsurface color. Cheese is a bit shinier, so I went ahead and played with this value, and you can see every time I do change it the material goes ahead and updates. Now, if I set that roughness all the way down it looks a bit wet. So I wanted just a little bit of shininess, and I didn't want it to feel completely flat and matted. Now I'm going to disconnect this displacement and we'll talk about it in a second, but I want to focus…
