The 12-bar blues
- [Voiceover] The Twelve-Bar Blues - The Form. The Twelve-Bar Blues is one of the most basic song forms. The form is the organization, or structure, of a piece. The Twelve-Bar Blues derives its name from the number of measures, also called bars, in the form. This is common version of the Twelve-Bar Blues in the key of A. Included are chord symbols and Roman numerals, indicating the analysis of the harmony. Try playing it with either simple down strokes or a strum pattern.
