- [Instructor] Next, let's get a high level overview of the Speech APIs under Azure Cognitive Services. So the Speech service gives you speech-to-text and text-to-speech. Okay, this sounds pretty simple, doesn't it? But it's actually quite impressive. Well, first of all, it works in many languages. Now, imagine if you were to pair this with other capabilities, what could you write? You could write something that allows you to create close captions on a video, maybe apply profanity filters, create chat bots, pair them with ChatGPT. You could create a fully automated call center. You could enable people to learn new languages. You can help create voice assistants, recognize keywords, intent, sentiment, even speakers, and more. So the first capability here is speech-to-text. You can imagine this can be quite useful, and this works either in real time or as a batch conversion. So you can use this to create live captioning…
