- The next feature we need to talk about related to running things in AWS is really a very interesting one. It's called the Elastic Container Service and it has to do with deploying applications in your instances, but it gives it to us in a very creative way using something called a Docker container. Now, the benefit of this will be seen when we understand what a container is and we'll see why we might want to use this. So what I want to do is begin by taking you to docker.com, the source of these docker containers, the organization that actually created this tool and concept that AWS allows you to implement through the Elastic Container Service.
