Preparing a map book

- [Instructor] In order to create a map book we need a number of files ready to go. We need the main map, the DWG, the overview map DWG. We need the DWT that is the AutoCAD template that has all the default plotter layouts, the viewports, the overview map and the current grid number. Let's put all those together, first. So the first thing we're going to do is we're going to open up the Guelph DWG, under exercise files, chapter 13, 1301. And we're going to add the curbs, the hydrology, the parcels in the street, and this is what we're going to be plotting. So we might as well put all this data into our current map and we'll make sure everything's sorted. We'll put the streets above hydrology and let's author this really quickly. So what I'm going to do is I'm going to make the parcels a lighter color maybe semi-transparent. So I'll take them in here and I'll take the fill and I'll make it a lighter sort of a beige color.…
