Overview of mastering tools
Mastering relies on the same basic set of tools as recording and mixing, but they're generally more precise, in that they offer more control over all of the various signal parameters. These tools include compressors, limiters, equalizers, de-essers, and metering. In this chapter we'll look at each tool as well as their ideal placement in the signal path.
