- [Instructor] The new generative tools can also help us to create melodies. So let's look at Seed ornament and shape. And I've got the Seed ornament and shape project open. And I want to use these tools to create a baseline this time. So I'm going to go to the base track and I'm going to right click and I'm going to choose insert empty midi clip. Okay, now once we've got our clip here, let's go to the generative tools tab and let's select Seed from this popup menu. So Seed will randomly generate notes within specified ranges. So I'm going to set a range for each of the pitch duration and velocity options here. And let's pull the pitch down to maybe somewhere around G one. And then I'll go as high as maybe A two for this. Okay, it's a little hard with these sliders, but I'll got it. All right, now, the minimum duration I want is a 16th note to start here. And the maximum duration, an eighth or a quarter will work. So I'll start with an eighth note. And in terms of velocity, let's go…
