- [Introduction] Let's continue with our introduction to the new MIDI transformers and generators and look at rhythm stacks and span. So I've got the rhythm stacks and span project open, and I want to create just a little bit of a rhythmic keyboard part. So let's add an empty MIDI clip here on this first track by right clicking and choosing insert empty mid clip from the contextual menu. So I've already got the generator tab open and we've got four of these options for generator under the Ableton type. And I want to start with this rhythm one. So let's select that. Now, when it generates a rhythm, it's going to do it on a single note. So we can either change that note here or you can simply hold down your option key and click a note on the piano roll. So let's do this on E. So I'm going to option or control, click that E, and now we can see it that it's set to E three. So next thing I'm going to generate a 16th note pattern.
