Recording MIDI in Session View

- [Instructor] While recording in Arrangement View has similarities, there are some important differences in recording MIDI and Session View. So I've just got a default set open if you want to follow along. And let's start by loading an instrument. So I'm going to go into the instruments category and down to Impulse, let's open up that folder and I'm going to grab a preset here and just drag and drop it on that first track. So the kind of prerecord process is similar to what we did in Arrangement View. I'm going to load a preset and then I want to double check to make sure that I'm receiving MIDI from my MIDI keyboard and that is going to work. Yep, that's still working. So that's ready and I've got a tempo set, I think 120 beats per minute will work for what I'm about to do and I'm going to be in 4/4, that's fine. The record button is already enabled.
