Rack macros
- [Instructor] Racks often incorporate multiple devices with dozens of parameters. Locating these controls can be a pain. So let's take a look at how Rack macros can help solve this problem. So I've got a rack macro project open here if you want to follow along. And I've recreated the layered pad that we used in a previous video here. So I've got this synth pad rack where I've got two synths that are panned left and right, and they're on different device chains. Then over on the right I've got an audio effect rack where we're feeding the output of the first rack and running it through these two device chains. Then so I can save this as one device, I have racked both of these yet into a third rack. So what I want to do now is I want to locate those parameters that I would use most frequently, and I want to map those onto a macro where I can control all these parameters without having to go through all of these devices to find them.
