- [Instructor] Let's turn our attention from MIDI to audio, starting with discussing how to prepare to record audio. So I've got a default Live Set open, if you want to follow along, and let's go into Settings to start. So I'm going to use the key command, Command + Comma, and that would be Control + Comma on a PC, and once you're there, let's go to the Audio tab. So first, I'm going to point out the sample rate here, and this sample rate will set the rate for any audio that we're going to record into this Live Set. If you're using loops from your Ableton library or third-party loops, they can be at different sample rates, and Ableton Live is going to sample rate convert everything so that everything syncs and plays at the correct tempo and pitch. So if I click this popup, you can see that our options are 44.1, 48 kilohertz, and then multiples of that. So 44.1 used to be the audio standard for songs and albums, and 48K was the standard for audio for TV and film. Now, since most songs…
