- [Instructor] In the previous video, we took a first look at racks with audio racks. Let's continue with instrument racks. I've got the Instruments Racks project open, and on this first track I've got a synth pad via virtual instrument and a few audio plugins. And I like what I've got started, but I'd like to layer this with another sound and we can do that with instrument racks. Now, to get this started, I need to rack what I've already got. So I'm going to go down here in the bottom and I'm going to select that instrument and then scroll over and hold my shift key down and click the title bar of the last plugin. Now, in the last video, when I grouped the audio effects, it knew that I wanted to put them in a audio effects rack. And now the presence of this virtual instrument in my selection is an indication to Ableton that I'm trying to create an instrument rack.
