Instant mapping
- [Instructor] One Ableton feature that many users overlook is instant mapping. That's where Ableton-integrated hardware from third-party manufacturers will auto map controller knobs to Ableton device parameters. So I've got the Instant Mapping project open, and it's likely that your going to know whether your device is native or able to integrated just from the advertising. But if you're not sure, you can find out a couple of different ways. One way is to go into Settings. So let's press Command + comma if you're on a Mac or control + comma if you're on a PC. And let's go to the Link, Tempo & MIDI tab. And I'll just remind you that if your device is a native controller, you'll be able to find it in the Pop-up list here. Now, you'll probably already see it here, but you can always come in here and check, and you can see there's a lot of these devices that are available.
