- [Instructor] Playback in Session View works differently than an Arrangement View. Let's start by learning more about clips and how to control clip playback. So I've got the Session View project open, and like an Arrangement View, the clips on each one of these tracks are the content on that track. And clips in Session View are typically 1, 2, 4, or 8 measures in length, but they really could be of any length. And the reason that they are typically exactly like 1, 2, or 4 bars in length is so that they'll loop correctly. I'll also remind you that the content that we see in Session View is independent from the content that we have in Arrangement View, you could have two versions of the same song, or you could have two entirely different songs. They would just share the same tracks and plugins. So there's also got to be a way for us to see where playback is coming from when we're working in Ableton.
