- [George] Hi, I'm George Maestri. When we create characters with hair, a lot of times we'll use splines that are extruded into geometry to create that hair. So Maya 2022 and above has a feature called Sweep Mesh that will help a lot with this. So let's start off by just drawing a simple spline, and then we'll turn that into hair. So I'm going to select my character's head, and we want to draw on that surface. So I'm going to click this little magnet here, and that will make the surface live. And then under Create, Curve Tools, I'm going to select CV Curve Tool, but you can select whatever one you want. And then I'm just going to start laying down that curve. So as you can see, because I've made the surface live, it sticks to the head. So let's go ahead and end creation. And as you can see, this curve is kind of sitting inside the head. So I want it a little bit bigger. So I'm going to turn off Make Live, keep the…
