Prior to joining n|e|m|d, Mr. Ellis served as a Project Architect at Urban Design Group of Bristol, RI and as an Architectural Designer for Americo Mallozzi & Associates (AM&A) of Providence, RI.
Previous experience includes Rockville Mill Affordable Housing, facility documentation for RI College, historic land-use / planning studies, Bristol Industrial Park Masterplan, renovation / additions for the Providence Performing Arts Center, theatrical design for the Durham, NC Performing Arts Center, and numerous other projects representing a broad spectrum of building types. Since joining n|e|m|d, He has developed designs for numerous healthcare facilities, including the new 88,000 sqft University Orthopedics building. Additionally, Mr. Ellis also served on the RWU Adjunct Faculty between 2006 and 2007 in Computer Applications for 2-D / 3-D Design.
Mr. Ellis brings experience in the facilitation of code review analysis as well as the development of RI Dept. of Ed Stage I / II documentation. His past assignments have provided a keen understanding in a wide range of building types, including projects involving retail, hospitality, entertainment, housing, and office development. He brings to n|e|m|d a strong familiarity in project execution, coordination, and delivery methods focused on meeting project deadlines and budgetary goals. He is also noted for his practical emphasis towards establishing a strong and productive working relationship among the various project participants, as a means to satisfying client needs and fiscal constraints. Currently, Mr. Ellis is licensed as a Registered Architect in the State of Rhode Island and Massachusetts and holds NCARB Certification, in addition to being certified as a Construction Document Technologist. He also serves on the Building / Zoning Board for the Town of Warren, RI.
