Automated pipeline stages in Recruiter and Recruiter Lite

Last updated: 2 months ago

Automated pipeline stages in LinkedIn Recruiter and LinkedIn Recruiter Lite automatically moves candidates through pipeline stages throughout the recruiting process.

Who can use this feature?

You must be an admin on your Recruiter contract to enable automated pipeline stages. Automated pipeline stages is automatically enabled in Recruiter Lite.

Automated pipeline stages consist of three stages (Uncontacted, Contacted, and Replied) that are added to all new and existing projects. When you add a candidate your pipeline, they are in the Uncontacted stage in your project by default. Once you send them a message, they will automatically move through the pipeline stages.

Each stage has an associated action that automatically moves your candidates to the next stage:

  • Uncontacted - Candidates who were manually added to the project or applied to a linked job and haven’t been contacted yet.
  • Contacted - Candidates who have been contacted through an InMail or email message.
  • Replied - Candidates who have responded to an InMail or email message.

Notes:

  • Once automated pipeline stages is enabled on your Recruiter contract, existing pipeline stages with the same name as a default automated pipeline stage will be converted into the corresponding automated pipeline stage.
  • You must manually move any candidates who were saved to projects prior to enabling automated pipeline stages into the next default stage.
  • Automation is only applied to the three default stages with candidates who are saved to projects and communicated with after you enable the feature.
  • When you enable automated pipeline stages, admins and recruiters on your contract will be notified and all projects will be updated with new default stages.
  • If you were on a prior Recruiter contract that had Smart Project Filters enabled, automated pipeline stages is automatically enabled and your default stages are updated from New to Uncontacted, Contacted to Contacted, and Replied to Replied.
