Authorize your email and calendar settings in Recruiter

Last updated: 2 months ago

You can authorize your work email and work calendar. Email Integrations allow you to view your email and InMail messages with a candidate in one place. Scheduler allows you to send a link to candidates to view your calendar availability when you are scheduling 1:1 interviews or phone screens.

Here's a tip

We’re gradually making the Email Connect experience available, and you might not have access to it at this time. This feature enables the ability for end users to send emails directly from within LinkedIn Recruiter, complementing the existing email viewing capabilities. Email Connect is currently only available for Microsoft 365.

Before you can use Email Integrations or Scheduler to send candidates your availability, make sure your admin has selected an email provider and your Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace admin has given LinkedIn Recruiter the correct permissions.

Important to know

Be sure to approve all permissions for integration when asked during the Google Workspace authorization process.

To authorize your work email and work calendar:

  1. Move your cursor over your profile picture in the top right corner of the Recruiter homepage and select Product settings from the dropdown.

  2. Click Email & calendar on the left panel under Account Settings

  3. Under Email & calendar, click Authorize next to Authorize inbox and follow the prompts to complete the setup.

    Here's a tip

Email Connect is currently available for Outlook / Microsoft 365. This integration enables you to send and schedule emails directly within LinkedIn Recruiter and offers additional enhancements to the user experience. Sending emails from within the Recruiter platform reduces the need to switch contexts between Recruiter and Outlook, and enables a more streamlined workflow. See the Email syncing Recruiter user FAQ for more information.

After you’ve successfully authorized your work inbox, you’ll see the email address for your synced account appear under the Authorize work email setting.

  4. Click Authorize next to Authorize work calendar and follow the prompts to complete the setup.

After you’ve successfully authorized your work calendar, you’ll see the email address for your synced account appear under the Authorize work calendar setting.

Important to know

You can deauthorize your work email and work calendar under Product settings > Account settings > Email & calendar.

If you had 1:1 Scheduler previously authorized before Email Syncing was made available on Recruiter, you may need to deauthorize and reauthorize your 1:1 Scheduler integration in order to avoid disruption to your integration.
