Convert your LinkedIn Page type

As a LinkedIn Page super admin, you can change your Page type to accurately represent your organization. When a Page is converted, the original Page no longer exists and it can’t be reverted to the original Page type. Followers, content, and the Page’s custom URL will remain the same.

Important to know

Please review the available Page conversion types and their effects before requesting a conversion. Page conversions are irreversible. 

Convert a Company Page to a Showcase Page 

  • The only change in the URL will be the replacement of "company" to "showcase". For example: https://www.linkedin.com/company/xyz will change to https://www.linkedin.com/showcase/xyz.
  • The Showcase Page will appear as an affiliated Page of the designated parent Page.
  • Member work experience will link to the new parent Page within 24 hours of the conversion.
  • The existing cover image of the converted Page might need to be updated.
  • The description field will be lessened to 200 characters.
  • Admins of the converted LinkedIn Page will be admins of the new Showcase Page.
  • Followers will be migrated to the new Showcase Page.
  • All shared posts or sponsored posts will be migrated to the new Showcase Page.
  • Jobs associated with the converted LinkedIn Page will be automatically associated with the new parent LinkedIn Page or will need to be manually re-associated to a different LinkedIn Page by the job poster.
  • Any affiliated Page and Showcase Page associated with the converted LinkedIn Page will automatically migrate to the parent LinkedIn Page.

Here's a tip

A Company Page can’t be converted to a Showcase Page if the request is due to an acquisition or if the desired Showcase Page is a subsidiary.

Convert a Showcase Page to a Company Page 

  • The only change in the URL will be the replacement of “showcase” to “company.” For example: https://www.linkedin.com/showcase/xyz will change to https://www.linkedin.com/company/xyz. 
  • The newly converted Company Page will no longer appear as an affiliated Page of the designated parent Page unless otherwise requested.
  • The existing cover image of the converted Page might need to be updated.
  • Admins of the converted Showcase Page will have the same admin permissions on the new Company Page.
  • Followers will be migrated to the new Company Page.
  • All shared posts and sponsored posts will be migrated to the new Company Page.

Convert a Company Page to a University Page

  • The only change in the URL will be the replacement of “company” to “school”. For example: https://www.linkedin.com/company/xyz will change to https://www.linkedin.com/school/xyz. 
  • All followers will remain on the newly converted University Page.
  • The Alumni section won’t be visible on your Page until members list your University Page in the Education section of their profile.

By requesting a Page conversion as an Admin, you’re:

  • The rightful super admin of the LinkedIn Page to be converted.
    • For Company to Showcase conversions, you will have to be the admin of the desired parent page
  • Verifying that you’re authorized to act on behalf of the organization in relation to converting a LinkedIn Page or Showcase Page.
  • Acknowledging that this conversion is irreversible. LinkedIn can’t retrieve data once the conversion occurs. The converted Page can’t be reverted.

To convert your Page, please contact us with the following information:

  • The Page name exactly as it appears.

  • The Page URL.

  • The conversion type.

  • The reason the Page should be converted.

  • Company Page to a Showcase Page - Clearly identify the Page name and URL that you’d like to designate as the new parent Page.

  • Showcase Page to a Company Page - State if you’d like the Pages to remain affiliated.
