LinkedIn’s products, and technology behind them, are designed to help job seekers and hirers connect. AI is not new to our products— we have long used AI to help our members connect, find opportunity, and achieve success in their careers. As we continue to build products, we remain committed to using AI responsibly, following a set of principles that help us create economic opportunity for all.
How does LinkedIn use my data and AI to help me find jobs?
LinkedIn’s products help you find relevant jobs by providing recommendations using AI and data from your LinkedIn profile, your preferences, and signals from your job search related activity (e.g., saving or viewing a job, or selecting “I’m Interested” on a company page). We also make your LinkedIn profile visible in our hiring products, LinkedIn Recruiter and Jobs, so recruiters and hiring managers can find potential candidates for their hiring needs. This includes features that use generative AI to help recruiters and hiring managers understand how you match job qualifications using your LinkedIn profile and other information you have shared with them.
What if I don’t want LinkedIn to use my data to help me find & be found for jobs?
You can choose how your data is used both for your job search experience as well as what our customers see in our hiring products, LinkedIn Recruiter and Jobs, through what you share on your profile and how you set your data privacy and visibility settings. And if you don’t want your data processed in this way, you can object to data processing here.
