Requests to duplicate followers or migrate associated members for your LinkedIn Page

Last updated: 6 months ago

After you rebrand or merge duplicate Pages, you can duplicate your followers or migrate associated members to the new Page.

At LinkedIn, member experience is our top priority, and our policies are designed to protect member trust. We can’t approve requests that would significantly change information provided by a member or modify an action taken by a member in a way that deviates from their original intentions without their expressed acknowledgment or approval.

Approved follower duplication requests include:

  • Creating a new Page for the same organization that represents the same entity and its primary purpose is to reflect the organization’s rebrand.

  • Consolidating duplicate or regional Pages for an organization with a large number of associated members.

Pages with a small number of associated members won’t be approved for Page merges, but they might be approved for follower duplication. As an alternative, we recommend deactivating your duplicate or regional Pages.

  • Merging duplicate Pages for a university, including Pages for universities that represent schools, departments, or campuses of the same university and not partners or affiliations.

Unapproved follower duplication and associated member migration requests include:

  • Associated member migration to a new Page due to a rebrand, acquisition, or merger.

  • Follower duplication to a new Page due to a business or subsidiary merger or acquisition.

To request a follower duplication or associated member migration, please contact us with the following information:

  • The name and URL of your original Page.
  • The name and URL of your rebranded or duplicate Page.
  • The URL of the press release or other material verifying that your followers should be duplicated or your associated members should be migrated.
