You can offer services on LinkedIn to convert members into clients for your business. To get started, create a Service Page, which is a dedicated landing page that showcases your services and operates on a request and proposal model. Potential clients can contact providers for free, regardless of connection degree. Keep in mind that certain Service Page features are only available with a Premium Business subscription.
In general, the steps to work with a service provider on LinkedIn are:
-
A potential client finds service providers by searching on LinkedIn or asking their network for recommendations.
-
The client submits a project request (request for proposal) to a provider. Optionally, the client can send the request to additional relevant providers who have a Premium Business subscription.
-
Providers respond with a proposal to express interest in the project. Provider response time average from the past 180 days will be displayed on their Service Page if they respond to inquiries within 24 hours, and provider response rate average will be displayed if they respond to at least 80% of inquiries.
-
Once the client receives a desirable proposal, the client and provider agree on the terms of the project outside of LinkedIn, and the provider completes the work.
-
Payment for project completion happens through the service provider’s preferred process, outside of LinkedIn.
-
The provider can invite the client to write a review.
Service providers can organize their work through their Service Page admin view, where they can access requests, projects, client lists, and review invitations. Service providers and clients can message each other on LinkedIn and then finalize the terms of any agreement outside of LinkedIn.
Keep in mind that
-
Services on a provider's Service Page can be displayed on any member's feed.
-
All members can use LinkedIn search to find Service Pages, depending on the provider's public profile visibility settings.
