Educational institution verification with LinkedIn Learning

Last updated: 7 months ago

Having an education verification through a LinkedIn Learning license means that the individual has LinkedIn Learning access provided by the educational institution listed on their work experience or education, and chose to display the verification on their profile. If your educational institution provides LinkedIn Learning licenses and you have connected your LinkedIn Learning account to your LinkedIn profile, you may be able to add an education verification on your LinkedIn profile.

If you’ve connected your LinkedIn profile to a LinkedIn Learning license associated with an educational institution listed on your profile, you may already have an educational verification on your profile (or one may be added automatically in the future if your educational institution is supported or you connect your LinkedIn Learning account at a later time).

Please keep in mind:

  • Availability: Education verification via LinkedIn Learning is available for select educational institutions.
  • The educational institution must be listed in your profile under the experience or education section with a specified start date. For current students or those yet to graduate, the end date can be left empty or set to a future date. Please note that verifications cannot be applied retroactively (i.e., after you have graduated from or are no longer employed by the institution).
  • Verifications are visible, but you can remove them anytime. Once you verify, a verification badge will be displayed on your profile next to your name. Others who view your profile will be able to see the verification. You can remove the verification anytime by visiting https://www.linkedin.com/mypreferences/d/verifications.
