Workplace verification with your work email

You can verify your workplace by using your current company email address and confirming a code sent to that same email address. Currently this feature is only available to members working at select companies as LinkedIn continues to expand support for this feature.

Please keep in mind: 

  • If you’ve previously submitted and confirmed a work email with LinkedIn, you may already have a workplace verification on your profile (or one may be added automatically if your company is later supported). 
  • Your work email must match your current company’s email domain. (Example: yourname@YourCompanyName.com)
  • Once you verify your work email, a verification badge will display on your profile under the About section. Others who view your profile will be able to see the verification, but not the actual email address
  • To access content on the My Company tab of your employer’s LinkedIn Page, you’ll need to verify your work email separately.

To verify your work email on Desktop, iOS, or Android: 

  1. Click Resources or the  Resources icon on your LinkedIn profile, and then click Verify now.
  2. Click Verify your workplace to start the verification process.
  3. Enter your work email for your current company and click Send code.
  4. Access your verification code in your work email account. If you do not receive a code, click Resend code.
  5. Enter the code and click Confirm. The code will expire 15 minutes after receipt. Your work email is now verified.
  6. Toggle the switch to Off or On next to Save your work email to autofill for future lead forms. By default this toggle is switched to Off.

To remove the verification of your work email on Desktop, iOS, or Android:

  1. Go to your settings by either clicking here to go to your settings, clicking the Me icon at the top right of your LinkedIn homepage on desktop, or by clicking your profile picture on a mobile device.
  2. Click on Account preferences.
  3. Click on Verifications.
  4. Confirm your deletion. Please note that we can’t restore the verification once it’s deleted.

To enable or disable the autofill of work email for Lead Gen Forms on Desktop, iOS, or Android:

  1. Go to your settings by either clicking here, clicking the Me icon at the top right of your LinkedIn homepage on desktop, or by clicking your profile picture on a mobile device.  
  2. Click on Account preferences
  3. Click on Verifications
  4. In the Workplace section toggle the switch to Off or On next to Save your work email to autofill for future lead forms.
