Inappropriate content or behavior is not acceptable on LinkedIn. This includes nudity, violence, harassment, hate speech, bullying, and scams. LinkedIn also requires you to represent yourself accurately and fake accounts are not allowed on LinkedIn. To keep our members safe, our automated models may proactively remove inappropriate content and members from the platform. We also encourage our members to report inappropriate content through our flagging options.
Reporting Inappropriate Content or Members
If you see something on LinkedIn that looks suspicious, appears to be misinformation, is offensive, or makes you uncomfortable, we encourage you to report it. Once reported, the content and/or account will go through our review systems and we’ll take the appropriate next steps. We don’t notify the person you’re reporting.
Additionally, if you’re connected to the person you’re reporting, we offer the ability to remove the connection after reporting or blocking that person. When you block someone, you’ll not be able to access each other’s profiles or content posted on LinkedIn. You can review your Blocked list in your account settings. Learn more about how to report inappropriate, offensive, or abusive content.
What happens after you report?
We take reports very seriously and review each case individually. When you report another member's content, they won't be notified who reported them. We investigate all reported material with our User Agreement and Professional Community Policies in mind. If it violates our policies, we take action, which can include removing the content or suspending the account.
