Manage your LinkedIn notification updates

Last updated: 2 months ago

You can directly manage notifications about yourself, your activity, and your connections from the Notifications tab to determine which types of notifications you'd like to receive.

  • Delete - Removes the notification.
  • Turn off - Stop receiving updates on a specific post, person, or a particular thread on your feed or a certain type of notification, such as likes, job changes, or work anniversaries from the people you're following.

Note: You may not see all these options depending on the type of notification you're managing.

To manage notification updates:

  1. Click the Notifications icon at the top of your LinkedIn homepage.
  2. Click the More icon to the right of a specific notification and select Delete or Turn off from the dropdown.

To turn on a notification update and improve your notifications:

  1. Click the Notifications icon at the top of your LinkedIn homepage.
  2. Under Manage your Notifications on the left pane of the page, click View Settings.

  3. Under Notifications you receive, click a category to see the types of notification settings you can manage.

  4. Switch the toggle to On next to the notification you want to receive again.

    • You can also turn on or off other notification updates from this page.
Notes:
  • If you turn back on a notification update, you'll receive these alerts again. All previous notifications of this type will reappear in the Notifications tab.

  • If you turn off a notification update, all existing notifications for that type will be removed from the Notifications tab, and you'll no longer receive the alerts.

  • You won't receive any push notifications on the LinkedIn mobile app for notification updates that are turned off from the Notifications tab.

  • You'll still receive notification updates on the Notifications tab when push notifications are turned off from the LinkedIn mobile app Settings page.

  • Turning off notifications will only affect the notifications you receive, it will not change the content that appears on your feed.
