Encouraging and challenging people to seek God every day.
About us
We wholeheartedly believe intimacy with God has the power to transform lives. That’s why YouVersion creates culturally relevant, biblically-centered experiences that encourage and challenge people to seek God throughout each day. Through these experiences, we create opportunities for people to connect with God, helping them form a spiritually-rich rhythm of seeking God intimately. Our hope is that each person in our community is on an active journey to become who God made them to be, abiding in Him, and drawing closer to Him every day. YouVersion is a ministry of Life.Church. Named one of the largest, fastest growing and most innovative churches in America, Life.Church is one church in multiple locations, and we are passionate about using technology to reach the world with the hope of Jesus. This passion led us to start YouVersion in 2007 with a simple vision, which God has grown to a community of over 550 million (and counting!). Life.Church wants to make a lasting difference in our communities and the world, seeking to lead people to become fully devoted followers of Christ. We are risk-taking, irrationally generous, spiritual contributors who bring our best, laugh hard, and honor God with integrity. In 2019, Glassdoor named Life.Church a Best Place to Work and named our senior pastor, Craig Groeschel, one of the Top CEOs.

Jesus came as good news of great joy for everyone. On this final day of our plan, we’re reminded of a beautiful truth: Jesus came for all—the lowly and the esteemed, the rich and the poor, the simple and the wise, Jews and Gentiles alike. The first visitors to see the Messiah reflected this reality, and His gift remains for everyone today. This Christmas, we celebrate more than Jesus' birth. We celebrate who He is as our Savior, the sacrificial lamb, and the fulfillment of God's plan for redemption. Let our hearts respond in worship, glorifying God for the peace and joy Jesus brings.

Every detail of God's plan points to Jesus. Bethlehem, Jesus' birthplace, was also the place where sacrificial lambs were born and raised for Passover. Day four reminds us that no part of God's plan was accidental. From His birth to His death and resurrection, Jesus fulfilled every prophecy and purpose with perfection. The same God that orechestrated every detail of Jesus' life knows every detail of ours. Let's take time today to reflect on God's faithfulness and the gift of Jesus today.

“Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call Him Immanuel.”—Isaiah 7:14 Immanuel—God with us. One of the most profound gifts we’ve been given through Jesus is His constant presence. He meets us right where we are, offering comfort, strength, peace, or hope, exactly when we need it. Today’s devotion invites us to pause and reflect on this incredible truth: the Creator of the universe chose to come near to us, to walk with us, and to be with us always. Take a moment today to reflect on the name of God and the wonder of His presence.

Jesus chose to come into the world in the most vulnerable way—as a newborn baby. Amidst the excitement of the season, it's easy to miss the wonder of this. Day two of our plan reminds us of the humility of Jesus, who took on flesh to live the perfect life we could not and to offer us grace, mercy, and salvation. The reality of this is both comforting and humbling. Take a moment to thank Jesus for the gift of His life as we continue to prepare our hearts.

The greatest gift ever given was wrapped in grace—Jesus. Christmas is a week away for us here at YouVersion. Wherever you are in the world, we invite you to pause and reflect by starting a Bible Plan with us. Today's reading is a reminder to us that Jesus came as the perfect sacrificial Lamb of God, offering us grace, forgiveness, hope and eternal life in Him. Join us in this Bible Plan and take a moment to reflect on this question: How has God's grace transformed your life?
