Also, a shout out to Susan Houts from Assisted Hands Home Care for co-hosting this event with us! The importance of educating the community cannot be overstated. Knowledge is power.
YourLife of West Melbourne is teaming up with StreetSide Showers to collect essential items for those in need. We are seeking men's belts, sneakers size 11 & below, and socks. Additionally, our residents will assist with creating grab-and-go first aid kits and we are hoping to collect large waterproof band-aids, bug repellent, antibacterial travel hand wipes, chapstick, aloe gel, sunblock, nail clippers, and washcloths. Please consider donating travel-sized items so they can easily fit in a Ziploc bag. Your support and generosity will make a meaningful difference. A great presentation was given at today's caregivers support group luncheon. My appreciation goes out to Dr. Jeffrey Saluck, Associate Medical Director with St. Francis Reflections Lifestage Care, for his presentation on dementia and identifying the signs early. This group meets every second Friday of the month and is open to the public. #YourLife
