The Kindness Room at Central Catholic High School is a safe place for students to show kindness and feel loved. The space has crafts students can use to show someone else they care or provide comfort. Yark was excited to have the opportunity to present the organization with a check for $1,300 to help support the space and its access to students. This morning, Yark was proud to present The Victory Center with a check for $4,027 raised through our Drive Out Cancer Campaign this October. Yark Automotive, alongside 13abc, was honored to lend a helping hand to Ayanna Byrd. 18-year-old Ayanna Byrd was diagnosed with stage 4 large B-cell lymphoma two days after her 18th birthday. Ayanna is now awaiting a bone marrow transplant and will travel to Columbus for further treatment. This morning, members of the Yark team joined United Way of Greater Toledo in packing meal kits at the Islamic Food Bank as part of their United for the Holidays initiative. This is just one of several packing events that took place during the month, with volunteers from various Toledo organizations and businesses coming together to pack over 500 meal boxes. Each meal kit contains two weeks’ worth of food for a family of four to support families throughout Northwest Ohio.

Luanne is known as "The Christmas Lady" in her community, having made it her mission to make sure all of her students have a gift to open under the tree and collecting donations every year to make this happen.
