This was an excellent gathering of women in AI in NYC and well summarized below by Cherae Robinson! Where should we do the next one?
One week ago, XFactor Ventures had the privilege of co-hosting the Women in AI High Tea and Breakfast at the historic Bergdorf Goodman, in partnership with J.P. Morgan Capital Connect. As we reflect on the gathering, it’s clear that the event was much more than a meeting of minds; it was a strategic convergence aimed at building community and celebrating the incredible strides women are making in AI. In honor of Women's Month, we set out to create an event that would not only acknowledge the contributions of women in AI but also bring together a dynamic group of NYC-based female founders, investors, researchers, and operators at the forefront of this transformative technology. The energy and inspiration that flowed through the room were palpable, as stories, provocative questions, and ambitions were shared among attendees. A High Tea, a departure from how most of us start the day, served as the perfect backdrop and reminder of the importance of building networks, getting out of our day-to-day, and supporting one another in a rapidly evolving space where women are important contributors to the future. The discussions in the room are just the beginning. As the AI landscape continues to evolve at an unprecedented pace, we must ask ourselves critical questions to ensure that women not only participate in but lead in developing and investing in companies and technologies that will shape our world. Here are a few that are top of mind for us: - How can we create more accessible pathways for women to enter and excel in AI-related fields? - In what ways can we support and amplify the voices of women founders and technologists building in AI? - What are the unique challenges facing female founders building AI companies and how can we come together to support them in navigating these as they grow? As we ponder these questions, we invite you to join the conversation. If you’re a woman building in AI please connect with us - we'd love to know what you're working on. We extend our heartfelt thanks to all the attendees for bringing their authentic selves to the table, sharing their insights, and contributing to an amazing start to the day. Special shouts go to XFactor Ventures partner Kathryn Minshew and event co-host Suzanne Rabicoff for bringing some incredible women into the room. As we move forward, we are excited to see how the connections formed during this event will blossom into impactful collaborations and continue to propel women to the forefront of the AI conversation. Let’s continue to support each other, celebrate our achievements, and push the boundaries of what is possible. Here’s to the remarkable women in AI, to the conversations that inspire us, and to the future we’re building together. #WomenInAI #Innovation #Community #ArtificialIntelligence #WomensMonth Kathryn Minshew Rachel Edwards Julia Maltby Sindhya Valloppillil Olga Laouchez (Yermolenko) Rachel ten Brink Natalie Park, PharmD Cherae Robinson Photo Credits: Obed Obwoge
