About us
Community Associations Institute - WA State Chapter (WSCAI) is a non-profit that serves the educational and networking needs of community associations and the businesses that serve them in Washington State. This is the Washington State Chapter of the national organization Community Associations Institute (CAI), America's leading advocate for responsible communities. CAI is the only national organization dedicated to fostering vibrant, responsive, competent community associations. Our mission is to assist community associations in promoting harmony, community, and responsible leadership. We believe that by giving board members, managers, and homeowners the knowledge to better run their associations, they can turn "owners" into "neighbors," increasing harmony, and leading to more prosperous, safer communities. WSCAI’s Mission Statement: To anticipate and meet member needs, foster inclusive participation, deliver essential educational programs, reach out to the greater community, and shape public policy.

Our wholehearted appreciation to Hal Hovey who has served 6 years (two 3-year terms) on WSCAI's Board of Directors!!! Hal will be transitioning off the board at the end of 2024, and his thoughtful, level-headed approach to decision making will be missed! However, as a member of CAI's National Homeowner Leaders Council, Hal's influence will still be a positive force for good across community associations nationwide. Thank you, Hal, for all of your years of service on the WSCAI Board! 🎉
