We just wrapped up an insightful webinar led by dr. Carlos A. Cuello-Garcia, cohosting with our partners Iberoamerican Cochrane Center and the Barcelona GRADE Center, as one of the World EBHC Day events. In this webinar we explored the validated strategies for integration of non-randomized studies into evidence synthesis on interventions following the GRADE approach. The session highlighted these strategies as crucial resources when randomized controlled trials are limited but high-quality non-randomized studies are available. These insights are vital for informing health decisions based on priority outcomes. Dr. Cuello, a leader in the GRADE working group for non-randomized studies and a researcher at McMaster University, shared his experience and the latest strategies developed by the GRADE group to enhance our understanding of this important area. Missed the live event? Don’t worry! The webinar was recorded and will soon be available on the Living Evidence to Inform Health Decisions Program website (https://lnkd.in/dXtrpVtZ) and the Iberoamerican Cochrane Center’s site. A big thank you to our lecturer for his outstanding presentation and to all the participants who contributed to the enriching discussion! #WorldEBHCDay #EvidenceSynthesis #HealthcareDecisions

🌍 HEALTH AND BEYOND: FROM EVIDENCE TO ACTION 🌏 October 20th marked World EBHC Day, a global initiative that aims to raise awareness of the need for better evidence to inform healthcare policy, practice and decision-making in order to improve health and wellbeing outcomes. It also provides an opportunity to recognise and celebrate the dedication, hard work and impact of researchers, academics, students, policy makers, advocates, clinicians, consumers and other agents of change who are driving improvements in the quality and outcomes of healthcare across the world. Producing, facilitating, disseminating and translating evidence to impact the health, wellbeing and quality of life for older people, and those who care for them, is everything we do at NARI - during our annual staff planning day last week, our talented team of directors, researchers, clinicians and operational support staff worked together with our ambassadors, board president and members of our community advisory panel on a new strategic plan for 2025 - 2029 that will enable us to clearly, collectively and collaboratively focus our efforts in order to successfully achieve our vision and mission.
