Meet Sara, a shining example of resilience and determination. When she arrived in the U.S., she faced many challenges, but with #WAW's support, she learned English, got her driver's permit, and secured a job. Her journey from doubt to empowerment is truly inspiring. Sara's story is a testament to the power of support and belief. Your donations make stories like hers possible, transforming lives and creating new opportunities. Let's continue to support and uplift each other! https://ow.ly/7bUp50UwyO0 #WomenForAfghanWomen #ChangeLives

2024 has been a year of incredible achievements, and it's all thanks to your unwavering support! In Afghanistan, 44,839 girls received an education in a safe and inspiring environment, despite the challenges they face. Your generosity also supports 80 women employees who are vital to our programs, helping vulnerable women and children. In the U.S., you've helped Afghan youth receive mental health care, rescued victims of domestic violence, and provided education and career readiness to immigrant youth. Together, we've made a real difference. Let's keep the momentum going into 2025! https://ow.ly/3OX350UwymI #WomenForAfghanWomen #BrightMoments2024

A huge thank you to EY and their amazing volunteers for supporting us on #EYConnectDay! Together, we facilitated workshops and assisted Afghan refugees through the USCIS process. We're excited to continue our partnership, empowering at-risk students through our youth mentoring program. Thank you, EY, for your dedication and passion in making a difference in our community. #WomenForAfghanWomen #CommunitySupport #Volunteerism #Empowerment #YouthMentoring #Leadership #RefugeeSupport #MakingADifference
One of my favorite days on the #EY calendar is Connect Day. Connect Day is part of #EY’s commitment to making a difference in the community by providing volunteering services to local organizations. This year, we had an amazing opportunity to support Women for Afghan Women (WAW). The EY team worked alongside WAW to facilitate workshops, and support Afghan refugees through the USCIS process. Looking ahead, we are excited to provide long-term support to WAW’s youth mentoring program aimed at empowering at-risk students. We’ll support the students by helping them develop leadership skills, providing knowledge and techniques to acclimate to a new environment, and improving their overall well-being. Thank you WAW for the incredible opportunity to support the community through your mission. Thank you to the EY volunteers for your time, passion, and dedication. Wishing you all a great new year!

Paying it Forward on International Migrants Day Today, we commemorate and celebrate International Migrants Day, honoring the 122.6 million migrants across the globe and the 43.7 million refugees among them, who have been forced to flee their countries. At Women for Afghan Women (WAW), we have over 23 years of immigrant and refugee success stories, thanks to your support! Here is just one from 2024: Jana's Journey to Becoming a Lawyer Jana fled to the U.S. from Afghanistan seeking freedom and safety but faced immense challenges. With WAW's legal aid and your support, her asylum case was approved, and she is finally feeling settled in the U.S. Today, she's pursuing a career in law to help others like her! Jana is not the exception. She is the rule. She embodies the incredible resilience and contributions of migrants everywhere. Thank you for supporting their journey towards a new life filled with hope and opportunity. Donate today to create more success stories like Jana’s! https://ow.ly/WM4c50UszWh #InternationalMigrantsDay #PayItForward #WomenForAfghanWomen #RefugeeStories #SupportMigrants #CommunityLove #ImmigrantSuccess #HumanRights #GlobalCommunity #HopeAndResilience

This Human Rights Day, remember that Women's Rights ARE Human Rights. 76 years ago, on December 10th, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights was adopted, enshrining 30 basic rights for every human being. These include the right to live free from violence and discrimination; to be educated; to have access to health, justice & freedom of movement; to own property; to vote; and to earn a fair, equal wage. Yet, around the world, women are still denied these rights simply because of their gender. Our humanity and progress is stunted by the rights violations impacting women not just in #Afghanistan, but across the globe. At Women for Afghan Women (WAW), we advocate for women's rights because our collective dignity of life, economic well-being, social welfare, and stability depends on women's equal rights. The theme for International Human Rights Day 2024 is “Our rights, our future, right now.” The women you support through our work have not given up on their rights. Help ensure women's equal rights become our future, right now. Support our work with Afghan and immigrant women and girls. https://ow.ly/SKFf50UnUZs #HumanRightsDay #WomensRights #HumanRights #Equality #SupportWomen #WAW #AfghanWomen
