Wishing everyone a Happy Holidays! It's the time of year to share good cheer, send our blessings and well wishes to all our Women in BIM community. 2024 has been a monumental year for Women in BIM, and all of our successes are down to the incredible support we receive from our Members, Sponsors and Partners. We were ambitious with our events and initiatives programme this year, but the efforts have been worth it. Once again we received a record breaking number of applications to the WIB Mentor Scheme, which resulted in almost 300 global Mentors and Mentees matches. We delivered three international one-day conferences in #London, #SaoPaulo and #Melbourne, plus almost 20 other networking, virtual and partner events across the globe. In addition we released the immensely successful WIB Digital Construction Global Work Survey, the results of which were showcased at our WIB conferences and other AEC industry events. The recommendations from the survey report will form new initiatives for 2025 for both the professional and personal development of our Members. And during our podcast series we also spoke to some incredible people doing incredible things across the digital built environment. Our plans for 2025 will keep up just as busy and we can't wait to share them with you all. Have a happy holiday season and see you in the new year!

City of London Corporation today launched its ‘Skyline Skills Hub’ to secure future green jobs. This is a new hub dedicated to addressing the green skills gap in London’s commercial built environment. It will enable the growing workforce in #London to meet the challenges of decarbonising the City. The hub was produced by the City of London Corporation’s Skills for a Sustainable Skyline Taskforce - and our very own #womeninbim Global Vice Chair Marie Grieve was part of this Taskforce in delivering the hub! The hub will showcase the best practice for sustainable green skills and enable workers, employers and policy makers across the sector to attract, upskill, reskill and diversify the people needed to ensure the delivery of the sustainable buildings for the future. You can also find links to Women in BIM in the resources section of the hub where we can add additional advice and guidance on green skills and #sustainability within the #builtenvironment. https://lnkd.in/ehVZ2rKT

Are you ready for an exploration into connectivity, problem solving and what do we really think of #ArtificialIntelligence. These are the topics of conversation in our latest #womeninbim #podcast, with host, WIB Vice Global Chair, Marie Grieve. For this latest episode, Marie invited Stephanie Fitzgerald, Software Developer at Ideate Software and Alix Tissier, IP Technical Enablement Specialist at GRAITEC GROUP to talk about their career journeys, what led them to the #construction industry and what they find most rewarding in their current roles. The conversation is fascinating, enlightening and often humorous at times, when the three discuss life in general, travel and ambitions, as well as the future of #digital in construction and the impact – good, and not so good – of #AI. Tune in now for this unmissable podcast! https://lnkd.in/edMTxVg
