👋 We’re happy to FINALLY introduce SyncEd! A Software for personalized classroom learning. 📚 🍎 K-12 students need personalized learning to thrive, knowledge we’ve learned firsthand through our own experience tutoring and teaching. Interviewing over 100 educators has only strengthened our desire to support teachers in a daily challenge: meeting the diverse needs of 20+ students in a classroom. 💡 SyncEd strives to improve knowledge gaps — ones exacerbated by Covid-19 — by bringing individualized learning to life. ✏️ By creating personalized lessons for K-12 teachers, SyncEd empowers educators to implement tailored learning solutions for their students, when and where students need it the most — the classroom itself. 📎 SyncEd prioritizes both teachers’ agency and students’ unique learning styles by working through the teachers themselves. By utilizing school data and AI, SyncEd creates accessible action plans, allowing teachers to leverage their own expertise within the classroom. 🌟 We invite you to come along on the (exciting!) SyncEd journey. To the many moments of learning, growth, and collaboration ahead! — Glory & Ankit Learn more here: https://withsynced.com/ #education #personalizedlearning #edtech #AI

At SyncEd, we hope to alleviate teachers' top job-related stressors. In 15 minutes or less, we give teachers three assignments personalized to their students for tomorrow’s class. Teachers are burning out, but this isn't news to the education community. If we can help take some of the work off of teachers' shoulders, save them time, and help with the differentiation wanted at the admin level, that's a huge win in our book. "Students spent more than 500 hours 😲 per school year on assignments that weren’t appropriate for their grade and with instruction that didn’t ask enough of them..." Why does this happen? 📑 After collecting over 20,000 student samples at five schools, TNTP published research showing that students of color, low-income students, those with mild to moderate disabilities, and English language learners often lacked four key resources: appropriate assignments, quality instruction, engagement, and high teacher expectations. This is the Opportunity Myth. 👩🏽🏫 The Opportunity Myth shows that current curriculum and scaffolding methods are not setting students up for success. We often let students' aspirations slip away before they have a chance to reach them. 🍎 At SyncEd, we hope to provide teachers and students the resources they need to succeed. We care about scaffolding UP curriculum and assignments to challenge students while also meeting them where they are at. Follow SyncEd for more education insights. We’ve had the privilege of learning from hundreds of teachers, administrators, and educators over the last six months. We feel immensely grateful to all who have taken time out of their busy lives to meet with us, and we wanted to shout out just a few of the incredible people who have inspired our work + mission so far. 🌟“There is absolutely a range of needs in the classroom, there always are. When you meet students where they are at and make the content accessible to them, you can give them something they know they can accomplish.” — Kira Macauley (Middle School Math Teacher, NY) 📓 “As a teacher, you need to be reteaching material to some students, give one-on-one time to some, and extra problems to others. Differentiation is super helpful for all students, especially those who use IEPs and 504s.” — Rohan Menezes (High School Math & Computer Science Teacher, CA) 📝 “I collect a lot of weekly data on paper, and I wish there was a way for this to be more visual. I break my students into groups based on the data I’ve collected on what they need to work on, but it takes a lot of time and energy.” — Brooke Alexander (Middle School English Teacher, NY) 🎒“What teacher wouldn’t want more information to help their kids? If I have 25 kids in a 45 minute period class, I’ll do the best I can.” — Jessica Comitino (High School Math Teacher, NY) 🙏 Thank you to Kira, Rohan, Brooke, Jessica, and many more fantastic educators! We appreciate you today and everyday. Understanding the careful thinking behind your daily decisions has been monumental in our progress at SyncEd. Why did we start SyncEd? 🍎 👩🏼💻 Glory & Ankit met at Microsoft in 2021 where they shared a deep passion for education and engineering. Glory spent her time in college teaching at LAUSD and changing USC’s computer science curriculum. Ankit has spent years tutoring in community libraries and even won Tutor of the Year at CS4Kids. Even at Microsoft, they led intern book clubs, mentored interns and led coding projects with high schoolers. ✏️ With 10 years of education experience, Glory and Ankit noticed that every student, even in the same class, has varying levels of knowledge and learns in different ways. This was confirmed through interviews with over 100 teachers nationwide, identifying differentiated teaching as the core challenge. 🧑🏽🎓 SyncEd addresses a problem that's persisted for 20 years: effective personalization for all students. 📚 By combining our personal experiences, teachers’ insights, and guidance from mentors with 40 years of expertise in ed-tech, we hope to bring personalized learning to all students.
