  • Kicking off 2025 with a bang by shipping another mill! This #40KS Rigid Arm Hammer Mill will be processing gypsum at a rate of 18 tons per hour! You’ll notice the yellow tubing on top of the mill – this was a special request from the customer, allowing them to use a forklift to remove the mill cover instead of a crane. At Williams Patent Crusher, our commitment to manufacturing tailored solutions, coupled with easy maintenance and operation, solidifies our mills as the go-to choice across various industries. • Throwback Thursday: Why OEM Wear Parts Matter for Your Williams Equipment If you want your Williams equipment to last a lifetime, routine maintenance and monitoring wear parts are essential. It's not just about addressing issues when they arise—it's about monitoring and replacing wear parts before they get too worn and compromise your equipment's performance. Williams wear parts are engineered for optimal performance, which is why they may come at a premium. We often hear customers question the price and some even attempt to cut corners by using a different machine shop, or opting for cheaper alternatives. The reality is those parts don’t last, they’re poorly made, and the quality simply isn't there. Customers who try this always come back to us, realizing that investing in top-quality OEM parts saves money in the long run by reducing downtime and increasing the lifespan of their equipment. This isn’t new information. Check out Form No. 251 about Williams shafts from the early 1920s, featured below. Over the decades, we’ve continually improved the design and engineering of our shafts. In today’s world of supply chain challenges, stocking up on spare wear parts is a smart move. It helps mitigate long lead times and reduces downtime, ensuring your equipment stays operational and efficient. Stocking essentials like hammers, screens, liners, and bearing assemblies puts you in control, keeping your operation running smoothly without the wait. Pro Tip: Investing in spare parts inventory isn’t just about convenience; it’s a strategic decision that boosts both your equipment’s longevity and your bottom line. Have questions about what spare parts to stock for your machine? Give us a call at (314) 621-3348 or reach out to our Parts Sales/Customer Service Department at parts@williamscrusher.com. #OEMParts #QualityMatters #ManufacturingEfficiency #SpareParts #MaintenanceMatters #ReduceDowntime

  • What a fantastic week we had! Last Thursday, we held our annual Bonne Terre Holiday Lunch, catered by the amazing Knights of Columbus. Our CEO, President, and Vice President each took a moment to say a few words about the busy year we've had and express their appreciation for the Bonne Terre team. Then on Friday, the St. Louis office got into the holiday spirit with a delicious catered lunch where everyone brought a dessert to share. Of course, we couldn't forget the traditional breakfast of champions – White Castle! We also held our annual Ugly Sweater Contest, complete with prizes! The room was filled with excitement and laughter as participants proudly showcased their ugliest sweaters, with everyone casting votes for their favorites. Danielle McKee took first place with her creative and bold sweater featuring her boss' face! Bryan Adams claimed second place, and Jake Sullens rounded out the top three in third. What a fun and festive competition! Fun, food, and festive vibes all around – what a way to wrap up the week! Check out the pictures below! #FamilyBusiness

  • Throwback Thursday: The Third Floor North Bay Now and Then From The Williams History Book, we learn about the third floor north bay that was once our pattern shop. The original photo (Cut No. 257) shows the iconic "one-man elevator," used to transport workers between the basement and the garret with impressive speed. You can also spot the pipe from the Baetz air-heating system, which used to discharge hot air—something that's no longer in use today. Fast forward to today, the Baetz heating system is long gone, but the manlift remains. For safety, it's been enclosed, but you can still catch a glimpse of the enclosure in the far left of the picture, behind the metal shelving. While this floor is mainly used for storage now, the north bay is occasionally still used as a shop, keeping a piece of history alive. The wood shelving in the upper right corner of the photo is still there today—untouched and unchanged since the original photo was taken. Some things, like that trusty shelving, remain timeless. #ThrowbackThursday #FamilyBusiness

  • Throwback Thursday: Our First Crusher & Machine Number 1 Today, we’re taking a trip down memory lane to celebrate a significant milestone in our history. Our very first machine built in 1896 is a story of innovation, longevity, and a lasting legacy. Let’s dive into the history of our first crusher as well as Machine Number 1 and how it’s been a part of Williams’ journey for over 120 years! Our Founder, M. F. Williams, writes about our first crusher in The Williams History Book: “We have a cut of this crusher in our cut book. We have the crusher, the first one we built, in our print shop upon the mezzanine floor, as a souvenir of our start in the hammer crusher business.” The mill can be seen on the far left of the mezzanine in the picture below. This mill however, was never sold. Machine Number 1 was sold. From Bulletin No. 107: “The above cut represents machine Number 1. It is the first practical and commercial machine which we built, shipped on February 22nd, 1896, and has been in operation constantly ever since. For all practical purposes, it’s as good as the first day it was started…” Machine Number 1, a #3 Regular Mill, was sold to a company in East St. Louis in 1896. After decades of use, it was returned to Williams, refurbished, and resold—only to be returned once again! We believe this is the same hammer mill now sitting on the 4th floor of our St. Louis office. Check out the pictures below to see this incredible piece of our history! If you look closely, you’ll notice that the mill is marked with the inscription, "M. F. Williams & Company," which was our original name. This historic detail serves as a reminder of the early days of our company and the legacy that has shaped who we are today. #ThrowbackThursday #FamilyBusiness

  • Throwback Thursday: From Wagon To Truck In 1887, we made our first step into deliveries with the purchase of a humble delivery wagon. As our founder Milton humorously recalls, “Both the driver and the horse hitched up to this horseless carriage, which ran by boy power…” Below in Cut No. 161, you can see a photo of the "wagon," which was more like a wheelbarrow, with Milton's eldest son, Milton Judson Williams, at the helm. Eventually, we upgraded to a one-horse delivery wagon, a big step forward! In Cut No. 251, our founder, M.F. Williams, is pictured driving and hauling the product himself. By our 23rd year in business we reached a new milestone with the purchase of a five-ton Pierce Arrow truck. The contrast between our humble beginnings and this new vehicle is remarkable. In Cut No. 250, you can see Williams M. Davidson, the shipping superintendent at the time, standing proudly with his hand on the crusher. M.F. Williams sits on the front bumper, and his middle son, Arthur, stands beside the truck with his hands in his pockets. It’s incredible to look back on these moments and see how far we've come. Here's to the growth and legacy of our deliveries! #ThrowbackThursday #FamilyBusiness
